Upham Inns, a distinctive collection of premium pubs and inns, offeing cosy accommodations and inviting country pubs.

The Brief:

Upham Inns sought a comprehensive review of their communication strategy with a twofold objective: first, to establish Upham Inns as an umbrella brand, and second, to create distinct branding for individual inns and hotels. Key components included:

  • Name and identity development.
  • Look and feel of communications, including colours, tone, and personality.
  • Individual identity styles for each pub.
  • Design guidelines for essential communication elements (menus, POS, website, etc.)
  • Sub-identity and full communication style for the rooms offering.

    What We Did:

    The visual identity drew inspiration from the diverse beauty of the picturesque landscapes of Hampshire and surrounding counties, employing an appealing colour palette and elegant typography to create an aesthetic and emotionally resonant customer experience.

    For the inns section of Upham, emphasizing the ease of inns and luxury getaways, we created a sub-identity named “Charming Bedrooms.” This identity retained its individuality while seamlessly complementing Upham Inns.

    Outcome:

    The outcome of our collaboration with Upham Inns included:

  • An extended pack of branded items for various marketing purposes (room brochures, printed and display ads, room cards, gift cards, presentation templates, custom icons, website, etc.)
  • Consistent design elements to maintain brand coherence across all touchpoints.
  • Recognizable brand with a renewed life and identity
  • Consistent brand communication reflecting a sense of occasion and luxury.
  • Amplified brand communication through visually and emotionally appealing styles with clear, intuitive functionality
